I don't want to grow up.
Two months from tomorrow, I will be 18. It seems exciting, but there are so many things about it that scare me. I’m that much closer to leaving this home behind. That much closer to being on my own, to starting my own life, to having a load of responsibility fall on my shoulders.
And in a sense, it breaks my heart. I don’t know if I’m ready for all of that.

The kindness in people
is beautiful sometimes. I know this may sound simple and stupid, but a little while ago I was at the gas station trying to buy a soda with my debit card, and the douchebag cashier told me I had to buy something else with it to make the total something like $8 if I wanted to use my card.
